mogrify is a part of
ImageMagick
package which enables processing a set of input images (instead of a single
one).
Resizing JPG images
If image is e.g. 4608px wide and we want to make it 2 times smaller
(maintaining the aspect ratio) we can do:
# assume all .jpg images are in current directory
$ mkdir output
$ mogrify -path ./output -resize 2304 *.jpg
or
$ mogrify -path ./output -resize 50% *.jpg

By default, the image format of `file' is determined by its magic
number. To specify a particular image format, precede the
filename
with an image format name and a colon (i.e. ps:image) or specify
the
image type as the filename suffix (i.e. image.ps). Specify 'file'
as
'-' for standard input or output.
